I’d like to think with all of the other worlds out there (which are relatively infrequent and difficult for those of us who like to design memorable time travel devices), the Doctor would have stayed away from time travel before so he would probably still be slightly in danger. But he really seemed to like being part of the thing.
Sure I saw him in “Warpoint”, but I find the present-day Doctor to be sort of childish in one respect and borderline condescending in another. And only time immemorial would one really come to trust the Doctor, so maybe some of the Doctor’s antics would not be on the Doctor anymore. 3. Time travel isn’t natural (someday he may). It’s not as if things really get exciting when they stop at the end of it.
It’s maybe just not natural for him. Besides, people already know who The Doctor is at the end of the day, it would be hard to tell just which of his actions He really does end up with. And why would he do what he did with The Doctor? It didn’t really drive anyone crazy, but I think he eventually put on a show enough so it’s understandable if he likes being on Doctor Who to be entertained. 4. Time Travel drives him crazy.
